International Crisis
Obviously, an international crisis is an emergency that could deteriorate into war. In many cases, an international crisis starts from a single event that snowballs into a crisis situation.
Such an event, if perceived and managed correctly and in a timely manner, can be muted – or at least bring the crisis to a “frozen” or “decay” state.
However, a mismanagement by anyone involved in the crisis could lead to an escalation that might ultimately turn a pivotal event into an international crisis.
More often than not, a mismanaged international crisis can become an ongoing one that squeezes many and unnecessary resources from all involved.
Such a situation could cause serious harm to the proper management of a country and long-term damage to its leadership and its citizens.
